Welcome to Sparta Carnegie Township Library

Welcome to Sparta Carnegie Township Library. We are located 17 miles north of Grand Rapids in the beautiful town of Sparta, near the prime fruit growing area called the Ridge.  The Library was built in 1917 with a grant from Andrew Carnegie, and has remained an active, vital part of the Sparta Community.

We are a member of Lakeland Library Cooperative consisting of 42 libraries, sharing resources and services. We offer many services to benefit the informational needs of our community such as a wide variety of books, magazines, audio-visual, and e-material, as well as copy/fax service, meeting rooms for public use, and free high speed internet and wireless.  We provide a Summer Reading program, as well as children and adult programming throughout the year.

Please enjoy browsing our website to find pertinent information.  Or call us at 616-887-9937.  We have an awesome staff who are eager to help you.
